During the last administration, American Christians were perhaps given a bum steer.
G.W. Bush, while generally lacking poise, was particularly gifted in pushing Christian buttons. He used the rhetoric of "Faith Based", quoted scripture and made speeches about the importance of prayer. Mainstream Christian News sources and devotional radio programs largely endorsed him.
He used their fears of persecution and the impetus of the moral majority to rationalize support of war-mongering in the wake of 9/11, However, now that the Bush era is history, Christians are gaining perspective.

This writer thinks Bush was sincere in matters of faith-based initiatives, he was simply over his head in the office, as the presidency has become largely an instrument of evil. Corruption powers in our society and the world at large rendered him largely a pawn in the game of global dominance. It is telling to have heard him in the last days of his office seemingly wistfully saying things like he had no regrets and he always followed his conscience.
We do not support war! However, we are engaged in a war on a different level, a war of truth and love.

• We are closely allied with the "Freedom Movement". What this boils down to is that we are trying at every juncture to avoid "legalism".
• We are anti-war.
• We are strongly committed to the constitution.
• We hope we are the kind of "Christians" that God will use to influence the world.
• We believe that the Bible is the inspired word of God.
• We believe we are in the prophesied last days. Time is precious. Let's not waste it.
